Gamecock Apologizes for VGA Invasion
Game publisher Gamecock issued an excuse after disrupting Ken Levine's acceptance speech for "Game of the Twelvemonth" at the 2007 Transfix TV Video Game Awards.
Arsenic the 2007 Capitulum TV TV Game Awards came to a close, Ken Levine and Greg Gobey of 2K Boston (formerly Superstitious Games) took the stage to accept BioShock's award for "Courageous of the Year." In an email sent down to various game publications, Gamecock Chief operating officer Microphone Wilson (and "Grand Champeen") offered his apologia for the incident:
I'd in person like to sincerely apologize to the BioShock team (and Ken Levine in particular) for Gamecock infringing on their public eye at this weekend's VGA Awards show.
After intense interrogations, we have come to the conclusion that the bunch that was there in Gamecock cogwheel were apparently genuinely right trying to have a good time. However, the awarding acceptance they interrupted was the LAST one we would have sought to interrupt, ("nearly addictive game fueled away mountain dew" would have been a wonderful choice) as we have the furthest respect and love for BioShock and all who were involved in information technology, and it entirely sucks that Sight Levine didn't get to speak later on qualification such a fantastic game.
